Project Overview

The objective of this project was to identify and develop a screening-level understanding the CO₂ storage potential of saline aquifers suitable within southern Alberta and Saskatchewan. The project includes estimates of high-level reservoir parameters and distribution of suitable aquifers.

This project addressed key geological considerations for CCUS site selection in Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan. This project enabled the client to accelerate CCS strategies with a greater understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with carbon storage. The client’s strategy focused investments toward the most promising storage reservoirs.
