From CDL's Western Canada Resource Plays with Drilling Activity

The Duvernay Formation, located in the heart of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) in central Alberta, is one of the region’s most significant resource plays. With an estimated reserve of billions of barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), the Duvernay plays a vital role in supporting Alberta’s economy. Its high liquids content, particularly condensate, makes it especially valuable to use as a blending agent with heavy oil.
