This three-part study was conducted as an evaluation of the hydrocarbon resource potential of the Cretaceous Cardium and Viking formations and the Rock Creek and Nordegg members of the Jurassic Fernie Formation (including the Cretaceous Basal Quartz valley-fill sands) in the Sylvan Lake/ Medicine River area of central Alberta. The Cardium section includes discussions of the various sand cycles, a stratigraphic model, structural considerations, reservoirs and producing zones. The Viking section, which is primarily a resource evaluation for oil and gas, focuses on reserves and producing zones, log analysis and results from recent horizontal wells. The Jurassic section features regional geology, a summary of completion and recompletion potential in the area, recommendations for future horizontal wells and an extensive reserve summary with production/injection graphs and core analysis.

Deliverables for the three sections include:

• Structure.
• Isopach.
• Residual.
• Gross reservoir.
• Pressure data
• Edge, horizontal production data and drilling summary maps
• Cross-sections
• Pressure vs. elevation graphs.
