Geomechanical analysis is undertaken to gain understanding of historical drilling problems and recommend solutions. Drilling problems are evaluated in horizontal wells targeting the Falher and Wilrich formations in and around T 47 T17 W5M. Stress regime and pore pressure are key to this analysis. Mud weights and well azimuth may be factors that an operator needs to modify to improve wellbore stability.
