CDL assessed proppant lab analysis reports and compared the test results against API Guide RP 19C specifications. The five principal factors relating to the suitability of natural sand to be used as proppant in oil and gas operations include sieve analysis, sphericity and roundness, acid solubility, turbidity and crush resistance. CDL also evaluated the demand for proppant in Alberta and British Columbia up to 300km from a potential transload facility in the Town of Falher, AB. Lastly, a discussion detailing each step in the frac sand supply chain is provided.
