Using our extensive subsurface knowledge and GIS capabilities, CDL has established workflows to evaluate carbon sequestration targets and answer the key questions: Is there a storage opportunity? Is the storage capacity of the CCUS opportunity large enough to sequester the CO2 in the given time frame? Is the storage opportunity suitable?

Phase III of a major regional evaluation of the Wabamun Group in Alberta and British Columbia.. This phase deals with the hydrocarbon potential of the Crossfield Member of the Wabamun Formation. The objectives include developing a stratigraphic and depositional framework for the Wabamun in the area, as well as illustrating the distribution of Wabamun hydrocarbons and key compostional variations indicating possible controls. Objectives also include determining on a local scale the lateral hydraulic continuity and extensions of existing Wabamun gas pools, as well as on a regional scale the degree of vertical and horizontal hydraulic continuity and the effect it has on gas emplacement.
