Using our extensive subsurface knowledge and GIS capabilities, CDL has established workflows to evaluate carbon sequestration targets and answer the key questions: Is there a storage opportunity? Is the storage capacity of the CCUS opportunity large enough to sequester the CO2 in the given time frame? Is the storage opportunity suitable?

This study presents an integrated approach to the geology, hydrogeology, hydrochemistry and petrophysics of the Dinosaur Park, Oldman and Foremost Formations of the Judith River (Belly River) Group. This project constructs a depositional and hydrogeologic model for the Judith River Group that provides the necessary information to aid in the discovery, evaluation, exploitation and production of Judith River gas pools. This project identifies Judith River drilling prospects and potential pay zones within the project area.
