From CDL's Western Canada Resource Plays with Drilling Activity

The Mannville Group is a geologically complex and economically important formation within the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, extending across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Deposited during the Lower Cretaceous period, The Mannville contains multiple significant hydrocarbon reservoirs producing light and heavy oil, natural gas, and liquids-rich gas. Its stratigraphic complexity and wide distribution make it a key focus for both conventional and unconventional resource development.
