Do you have a need to understand where the frac sand market is heading and the key drivers? Are you investing in oil field services companies that supply frac sand and fluids or companies that provide transportation, logistics and equipment to support completions activities? Do you know where your equipment should be staged and what type of equipment should be there to support future activity to be a step ahead of your competition?

As a key input for unconventional operations, the need to understand the frac sand or proppant market in western Canada will be essential for operators, suppliers, and investors. The impact on operational timing and costs for this primary input are important in budgeting and planning. CDL has aggregated industry drilling forecasts to develop a five-year drilling forecast in the various plays in the WCSB. This aggregated drilling forecast was used to develop a frac sand usage forecast for the major resource plays in the Basin. Deliverables include a drilling forecast, historical frac sand usage, frac sand forecast, fluid usage, fluid forecast and a report with maps, tables and graphs.
