This geomechanics study updates a previous Cretaceous Second White Specks study (BSPC II) with results and insights from the 5-13-56-13W5 well. As in the previous study, the update reviewed (in summary form) the pore pressure, Minimum Horizontal Stress (Sh), Vertical Stress (Sv) and rock properties, image log analysis, drilling experience, and modelling and model verification. Deliverables include summaries of Sh data, pore pressure analysis, rock properties (including Young’s Modulus and Poisson’s Ratio estimates), Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) and Angle of Internal Friction. In addition, the update includes image log examples and azimuths of breakouts and natural fractures, Maximum Horizontal Stress (SH) azimuths compared to the previous study, a summary of drilling experience and SH estimates in the Second White Specks and Blackstone, model verification using the drilling experience in the 5-13 subject well, wellbore stability implications for future wells and recommendations for future drilling.
