Understand drilling problems encountered in the Jurassic Fernie Group while drilling a Montney horizontal oil well at Cornwall, AB. This geomechanical study is an analysis of in situ stress, pore pressure and rock mechanical properties using available well data. There is an analysis of previous drilling experience in the area and mud weight recommendations.
