Geological and hydrogeological assessment of Lower Paleozoic saline aquifers in the Grande Prairie area of west-central Alberta to evaluate CO₂ sequestration potential. The study identified the Mount Whyte Formation as the primary storage target, with the Basal Cambrian Sand as a secondary target, and assessed reservoir quality, containment, hydrodynamics, pore volume, storage capacity and injectivity to support development of a potential carbon sequestration hub.
